Jerusalem Day at Beth Am Shalom

Sunday, May 17 from Noon till 3pm

Jerusalem Day (Hebrew: יום ירושלים‎, Yom Yerushalayim) is an Israeli national holiday commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem and the establishment of Israeli control over the Old City in the aftermath of the June 1967 Six-Day War. The day was declared a religious holiday to mark the regaining of access to the Western Wall and is celebrated with parades and prayers.

We expect to have exciting and yummy food trucks followed by outdoor games for the kids (races, tug of war, etc) and a speaker from the Israeli Consulate

We will be inviting all the other local synagogues and the day is open to all.
