We have taken the major step of merging Temple Beth Am of Lakewood and Temple Beth Shalom of Toms River to create BETH AM SHALOM. We are all looking forward to a bright future.
Our newly adopted Constitution defines six categories of membership as set forth below. Each category has a dues amount established by the Board of Trustees.
While it is not necessary to pay the full dues amount immediately, signing up for a payment option or 25% of the dues amount is required in order to receive High Holiday tickets.
The membership categories are as follows:

| Family | A couple with at least one partner over the age of 30 and neither partner over the age of 65 | $1,500 |
| Young Couple | A couple with both partners under the age of 30. | $870 |
| Senior Couple | A couple with at least one partner age 65 or over | $1,140 |
| Single | An unmarried individual over the age of 18 and not part of any other member unit | $810 |
| Senior Single | An unmarried individual over the age of 65 | $770 |
| Affiliate | A past member who has been in good standing for 5 years or longer and who has moved at least 35 miles from Lakewood or Toms River. | $270 |
| Community Member | A Community Member who belonged to the Toms River JCC prior to the formation of Beth Shalom and has maintained continuous membership through Temple Beth Shalom and Beth Am Shalom | $175 |
